Note	ABL is recorded as disembarking on 1 Sep 1925 at London from the Glaucus of the Blue Funnel Line having traveled from Otaru via Manila. He had been in Japan with his first wife Blanche ‏(nee Frere)‏ ‏[They have her age wrong, at 28, on the disembarkation record as she would have been abt 24]‏ Their intended place of residence was 19 Victoria St Cannock Staffs. but the disembarkation record indicates that they intended returning to Japan. ABL then returned to Japan as he is next on record as disembarking on 1 Sep 1930 from the Hakusan Maru of the Nippon Yusen Kaisha Line having traveled from Yokohama via Shanghai. Blanche and Donald ‏(then 2yo)‏ had returned a year before.
